Art
Exhibition and Gallery Reception
Eligibility
- All conference attendees and faculty are eligible. Work must have been completed within the last 3 years. Only one entry per person may be submitted. Due to space limitations, your artwork needs to be a piece that can be hung on the wall.
- Paintings, fabric art, photographs, montages, or illustrations must be no larger than 3 x 4 feet and must weigh less than 20 pounds, including the frame.
- All work must be ready to display-no assembly! Large paintings do not need to be framed if they are painted on the edges (sides), but other pieces of art must be framed. All pieces must have wire on back, ready to be hung. Use a heavy weight wire or wire suitable to the weight of the art.
- If your piece of art is accepted, there must be a label on the bottom back of your art work with your name, title of art, and sale price (if you are selling your art). You can print out the "Label for Back of Art" provided on this website, or use your own white label. If you use your own label, please type it in 14 pt type, or larger, so it is clearly legible.
- All accepted work must remain in the gallery for the entire conference (July 14, 15 and 16). Work must be dropped off Thursday afternoon, July 14, between 12 noon and 3:00 pm. Work must be picked up between 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm on Saturday, July 16.
Jury Criteria
All submitted work will be juried on the basis of:
- Its edifying value—the work must be created from the perspective of a Christian world view and reflect such in its content as it is the intent of the sponsors to promote a Christian view of art and its role in society.
