Vivien Hibbert

Author, teacher and worship leader Vivien Hibbert will be one of the featured guests at this year's conference. Vivien is a regular faculty member of LaMar Boschman's International Worship Leaders' Institute in Dallas and also the International Worship Symposium. She is the co-founder of The Worship Arts Conservatory, an online training program for worship leaders.

We've asked some present and former Karitos faculty who know Vivien to share their thoughts about her:

"Vivien Hibbert is a rare and secret treasure in the Body of Christ. Her teachings on the Theology of Worship are deeply spiritual and yet very practical. Her passion for worship is contagious and will leave you hungering for more of the LORD and His Presence." -Yvonne Peters, Without End Ministries

"If there was only one person we could ask to come for a conference on worship, it would be Vivien Hibbert. She is the most thought-provoking teacher on worship and couples that with practical demonstrations and instructions to those who attend her workshops. If one listens, one is taught to worship in Spirit and in Truth." -Carl Peters, Worship Watch of the Lord

"You're going to enjoy Vivien! In her engaging way, she is an excellent teacher with an unusual gift in coaching singers and musicians into flowing prophetically in the song of the Lord. Many consider her one of their favorite teachers. I like her style of ministry because she's real, and balanced, with Jesus at the center of her affections and focus." -Bob Sorge, Teacher, Author of the classic book, Exploring Worship

"When I first heard Vivien Hibbert speak, I was shaking under the anointing of God. Her words were saturated with His presence. Her knowledge of the scriptures is deep; as a teacher she communicates Scriptural mysteries and intimate facets of God's nature with such clarity that even the youngest believer can absorb them. In worship, she has the sensitivity to quickly discern what the Holy Spirit is saying or doing and help others respond to it or participate in it-and lives get changed." -Phil & Maura Hoagland

"Vivien Hibbert has been an integral part of our Worship Dance/Creative Arts Conference for many years as a Prophetic Worship Leader and Bible Teacher. Her teaching and leadership have faithfully brought insight, revelation and practical application into our worship gatherings while being inextricably joined with a deepening of our love, understanding and experience of the gloriously revealed Presence of God. She is a joy and a gift to our generation." - Teresa Gardner, Director, Zion Center for Worship and the Arts

Vivien will teach six workshops, lead a 90-minute interactive general session and be part of the worship leadership during our evening celebrations. She is but one of the excellent teachers on our worship staff.

"Show me your glory" was the cry of Moses' heart. Perhaps that is also the cry of your heart. You are longing for a fresh encounter with God in your personal worship and for more of His presence in your corporate worship. If this is the case, we would ask you to take a few minutes and let us tell you more about what we have in store for you at this year's Karitos Worship & Arts Conference.

We call the worship at Karitos "extravagant" as other art forms are incorporated into each service. Our worship leaders are drawn from different streams in today's broad and exciting field of worship. One has years of experience in building worship teams from the ground up for both Liturgical and Charismatic Churches. Another has, in recent years, been called upon to help evangelical churches desiring to move from traditional to contemporary worship. Still another, a talented songwriter, is gifted with a unique ability to blend the music of the African-American Church with today's modern sound.

There is so much more we would like to tell you about. Did we mention the Vocal Track? Sheri Gould is our vocal teacher and we think you will be amazed at what she can do with your vocalists in just two days, Sheri teaches at major conferences and writes a monthly column for Worship Musician Magazine. Each month we run one of her columns here on our website. Currently we are running a column entitled "Voice Care - I" and we urge you to check it out. You will also find Sheri's workshops listed on the site.

We should also mention this year's expanded A/V Tech Track. If you are frustrated when technical glitches cause your creative efforts or special holiday services to crash and burn, Karitos 2007 might be just what your tech people need. Whether you have experienced A/V people or a kid you drafted out of the youth group, our team of industry professionals can help. Several of them are also worship leaders in their home churches. Again, you can go to the website for a complete listing of the classes.

Let us close by saying that a major goal that we've had in our 13-year history has been to present a top quality conference at an affordable price. We want to make it possible for churches to send not just you the worship leader, but the whole team and tech crew as well. We're praying that as you share about Karitos with your leadership, they will see that sending your group is a "Sound Investment."

Serving Christ Creatively,
The Karitos Worship Leadership Team
