Here's
what people are saying about Karitos 2007...
From
a Faculty Member:
...thoroughly
enjoyed our time -- and we want to come back next year for more of it.
The diversity, the creativity and the obvious passion for communicating
Christ was very exciting. And my classes went quite well, I think.
An
attendee sent this email to friends:
I
had the privilege of being able to go to Karitos this weekend. This
is a three-day seminar of Christian Arts. Karitos is a Biblically based
artistic and technical growth experience that represented the arts in
literature, film, dance, drama, fine art and theology. The instruction
was wonderful and included established authors, artists, dancers and
film-makers who were present to teach their passion of Jesus in the
field that they specialize. I could not have been happier then listening
to these fine lectures as well as visualizing the passion in the hearts
of others as they stirred my spirit to follow my dreams and use my talents.
Thank you
Karitos for opening my eyes wider, encouraging my heart and seeing the
wide variety of creation you have planted in others as talents are used
for the Kingdom. As I commit to grow in talents and beliefs, I thank
God for how he created me and others to pursue all of His creation.
I would
love to have you join me at Karitos next year to pursue, stir and commit
to the creativity in you.

From
a first time attendee:
I wanted
to take the opportunity to say Thank You to all of the staff of Karitos
for an AWESOME conference. This was my first year at Karitos and I am
excited about the impartation that took place on last week. I enjoyed
the classes and the Arts Ministry that went forth each night. Thank
you for the opportunity to be exposed to the Ministry of Arts in such
a dynamic way.
I am the
chairperson of a Youth Dance Ministry from Zion, IL and many of the
dance members were in attendance at the conference. They are still talking
about the lessons they learned and we are implementing many of the techniques,
order, and structure into our routines and administration.
As their
youth leader I primarily administered the team and danced just a little.
However, during Diane Wigstone classes, God gave me a new dance. Now
I am a dancer in my heart and I plan to continue in the ministry of
dance and Arts,
Again we
thank you and look forward to attending next year.
An
attendee sent this email to the Christian Dance Fellowship Illinois
Chapter. It was then forwarded to the membership:
Just wanted
to let everyone know how abundantly blessed our ministry and myself
were to participate in Karitos again this past weekend. They get better
every year. I was there one of there very first years as a drama participant
and now that I'm in dance I am again richly blessed. My biggest reason
for wanting to write everyone was to encourage them to check out the
incredible ministry that was featured there: Acrodramance, from Way
of Life ministries. I believe you can just email acrodramance.com. You
too will be abundantly blessed. Hope to see you next year Aug. 6-8th!
(Eight
other CDF members responded that
they, too, were blessed at this year's conference.)
